About Us

Who We Are

We are 3J Global, a limited liability company based in Sri-Lanka. We specialize in the export of freshwater fish, marine fish and aquatic plants.

It has been said that only “7% of women are high level executives or own a company” and we are proud to say that 3J Global is headed by one of these strong females. With both her brother and father being pioneers in the local corporate business space, Tharanga Weerarthne always has had a sense of persistence and corporate know-how in her blood. This helped her build 3J Global from the ground up as an export-oriented business ready to cater to the world. Furthermore, as an Export Development board registered company, we have developed a sense of credibility to provide our customers with the best possible products available.

At 3J global, we don’t just care about nurturing the internal nature of the business but growing our surrounding environment. We like to help build our community with our buyback system which helps empower small local farmers to grow alongside our company. We believe in a sustainable aqua-culture industry.

Vision

Our Vision is to offer our customers a healthy and ethically bred and hand caught live freshwater and marine fish and aquatic plants. Building good relationships with local stakeholders, suppliers and international customers. We also think it is important for our company to contribute to sustainable and socially involved initiatives. This approach ensures good stewardship of nature and our environment. We try to achieve this by only marketing fish and plants that are substantially farmed and grown.

Mission

At 3J Global we hope to build a sustainable aqua-culture based company with a strong community of stakeholders and provide the best possible fish and plants with the best possible animal welfare conditions to ensure high quality delivery straight to the customer.
